Baccarat Rouge 540, Le Male, Eros usually get me compliments. Got complimented on Sauvage, ADG Profumo once each. Most people don't know anything about fragrances so you can just smell good and let them get a whiff of that sillage

It's usually people I know and 9 times out of 10, it's an older woman. Only received compliments from complete strangers like twice

It feels good to get a compliment but unnecessary emphasis is placed on it in the fragrance community. It's up to them if they want to say something, you have no control over it. Someone might think you smell amazing but just not mention it. I know I've done this a ton of times

I have a fragrance allergy

Took a break from wearing colognes for a while, and tried wearing some Aventus Cologne yesterday

I felt a little weird last night,

But woke up with my jaw hurting from clenching, eyes hurt, and my sinuses feel swollen as hell…

Which is what happens every time I wore cologne in the past.

Somehow formed over time..

Started wearing fragrances in 2018, got into it heavily in 2019, had a nice collection in 2020, started realizing weird issues in 2021 when wearing stronger fragrances, 2022 I cut down my collection and started wearing 1 spray of fragrances, 2023 full on allergy, even with 1 small spray from weaker fragrances.

I’ve tried narrowing the exact chemical down, but it doesn’t matter. Same effect with everyone I’ve tried, despite different ingredients
