Eau Duelle is fantastic. MFK Grand Soir/Gentle Gold, Nishane Ani, Indult Tihota, Celine Black Tie are some other vanillas worth looking into if you get the chance. But Eau Duelle is beautiful
Copped the sampler pack from MFK so will definitely be trying those out
Eau Duelle was magical though imo - do you think it can be worn in the summer though?

Is CDG2 as weird as people describe? Really want

its def an oddity but its not one of their weirder scents tbh just by degree of the fact its actually wearable and doesn't have any "shock value" to it. it has a floral ozonic quality to it but also has a strong hint of ink and wood.
as far cdg's history w ink scents tho this is prob their least experimental.
for weirder scents from them:
cdg 2011 - literally smells like a glue factory. industrial glue and scotch tape listed as actual notes.
odeur 71 - it's just metal w an odd background of greens
odeur 53 - clinical, powdery metal and plastic scent
marseille - bar of hotel soap
serpentine - supposed to smell like the bustle of a city - official notes include "asphalt". def smells like a road adjacent to a city park.
discontinued (still rarely findable at DSM), but their series 6 scents were all synthetics made to smell like unusual things like dry cleaning, garages, and tar.
vogue 125 - made to smell like developing polaroids and wet ink
Got Bottega Veneta XII Quercia at a sale for £30 for 100ml
Why not
Woody and fresh spicy kinda nice

Anyone try MFK Aqua Media yet?
Sampled it over the weekend. I didn't think much of it intially but I loved the drydown of lemon and green tea. Very clean and balanced. I wonder how close it is to Elizabeth Arden Green Tea.

they had a reputation as experimental for a reason, theyve been playing it safe for awhile tho. in my experience cdg is very hit or miss for scents, ive never found anything im just like "eh" from them on
Funny that CDG fragrance is being discussed itt, I actually just ordered Avignon, first frag I’ve ever bought. I got samples of Avignon, Wonderwood, and Zagorsk - Avignon jumped out the most, WW was a close second, but Zagorsk is just awful. Literally haven’t even applied it to myself. Really excited for my full bottle though.

cdg 2011 and vogue 125 are booth cool and actually enjoyable tbh. the odeur ones i think are more polarizing but they're definitely innovative

did you try Jaisalmer? that's personally my favorite from that collection. the only downside is the shelf-life. probably the lowest shelf life of any perfume i've ever used.

No, but I want to get samples of that and Kyoto next, I love woody / frankeniense scents so much. I’ve actually just been wearing frankincense oil for years but wanted something with a little more depth.
