Nah not similar at all. Herod is more of a cherry tobacco/vanilla scent

interesting. I saw the comparisons to Mancera Red Tobacco, but i havent tried that either. Layton is phenomenal though, thanks for recommending that site.

Its really hit or miss for me, have to truly test a fragrance long time to see if i would like it. Plus real samples cost almost the same with the PP clones

Red Tobacco, Carlisle, Mystery Tobacco, Triumph of Bacchus are all based on the same DNA. If you've tried one of them, you know what you're getting with the others. Herod is pretty unique in its scent profile, the only frag that smells like it from what I tried was Essential Parfums Divine Vanille, which is created by the same perfumer.

Tried my sample of Grand Soir today, its aight
but I feel as if it reminds me of many other similar scents/doesnt really stand out. It is nice, just dont think its anything special.
