Explain
Thought this was fries for a good couple seconds

Top: Freesia, Plum
Heart: Amber, Cashmere Woods
Base: Madagascar Vanilla Beans, Cistus Oil
sounds cool, but in my experience the performance from byredo always lets it down. especially considering the price

Im split on this one. On one hand it smells REALLY good and its somewhat addicting but I dont think I LOVE it right now. When it comes to the notes; plum is heavier than I expected. Thought it would have a fruity opening like most frags and dry down to a sweet vanilla but its the plum x vanilla x musk are all really equal throughout the entire life of the fragrance. The vanilla is really clean and smooth with sweetness. The musk (or cashmeran) gives it a lift and airiness, taking it from becoming heavy and cloying. It's a really dope release from Byredo though, probably my favourite. But the price per ml is too high (€240 for 50ml). I'd probably get a partial if I could find it for a good price, if it grows a little more on me. Dont think many people will straight up dislike this though. Performance wise; lasts for ages, projection is closer to skin
Intense Cedrat Boise is fire too btw. This review from Fragrantica pretty much sums it up: take the og Cedrat Boise, remove the synthethic scent from the woods, make it creamier, a bit sweeter, and not as fresh. Drydown is mostly woods and vanilla.
If you dislike Cedrat Boise, you're not going to like this as they're extremely similar in scent. This is just an updated version; better and smoother.

Def the intense. Better in every way while still remaining true to its dna / overall scent. Might get it too if my girl likes it. Gonna try it again tomorrow

Real oud has many facets but reminds a lot of people of barnyard, fecal, musky, leathery etc. It's literally the scent of a tree that's infected with a type of mold. So the smell is not for everyone. Can be challenging and off-putting for people in the west since we didn't grow up around that aroma unlike people in the Middle East and Asia.
Mainstream brands like MFK, Tom Ford etc re-create the oud accord with synthetic aroma chemicals and some natural ingredients to get something like it, but easier to wear and more likeable. But I'd get a sample of a pure oud oil and see if you like it

don’t expect much all I can say is it smells good/smells bad
cause I don’t know what these ingredients are supposed to smell like. Like I’ve never smelt or even seen a tonka bean in my life before lol
