The sweet notes remind me more of a Root Beer Float or Dr. Pepper, whereas By The Fireplace reminds me of toasted marshmallows.

If you're just getting into fragrances I suggest you sample a lot of stuff before buying full bottles. Most likely your tastes will change before you have time to finish multiple bottles that you buy right away
