3 day work trip in Istanbul. I rarely cop bottles anymore but usually just retail these days (Skin/Bijenkorf). Sometimes partial bottles on Marktplaats and all samples/decants on Marktplaats aswell. I cant keep up with all the high quality middle eastern clone brands these days but Id check out Calcologne & some of the other guys on Tiktok, they do a good job at covering them. And then just buy samples on Marktplaats to see if you actually like them instead of blindbuying full bottles. Never get a clone of Br540 or Grand Soir if you like those though, I feel like theyre unable to do what Francis does with his musk combos and compositions

Iāve had decants of both. They have similar ginger top note vibes but they do the base a bit differently. Vibrato feels a bit more mature leaning into the woodsy where as IG stays light. Vibrato longevity is a lot longer, IG didnāt last for me.
Overall I found G&B to be pretty light frags. I have bohemian lime as well and to me itās just a sharp burst of lime then like a middle aged manās body soap. Clean and mature but not special imo.
