I wore French waltz for the first time today in a while and tbh I don’t like it as much as I first did after smelling some other fragrances

Quick reviews of my new summer additions

Ingenious Ginger: compliment getter and the ginger is very refreshing. The patchouli that hangs around in the back isn’t my fav though and the opening is kind of bad. That goes away immediately though so no big deal. Works for day and night

Un Jardin Sur La Lagune: smells like a fancy baby wipe, but strangely works as a fragrance. Daytime wear only imo

Un Jardin Apres La Mousson: so good. Green melon with some mint and a pinch of pepperyness to it. Super unique and wearable. Works best during the day but works at night too

Un Jardin A Cythere: clean and citrusy with a little bit of creaminess to it? Very inoffensive, but you won’t find someone else wearing this. I think it’s the longest lasting of the line but don’t quote me. Probably the most night time approved of my Jardins, but still mostly a sunny scent

How’s performance on ingenious ginger? I have one coming in as a blind buy

Pretty good considering the scent profile. Projected for quite a while and was a skin scent up until the next morning.

SOTD: Bohemian Lime

Super strong lime opening but dries down into a lime-ish aftershave / soap scent. Super easy to wear and smells great in the air.

Yeah actually, off the bat that was exactly my first thought. The dry down is less "spicy" than aventus? But its somewhat close in certain parts, I wouldn't say its aventus "dna" but its a similar style if that makes sense. Don't blind buy this thinking its strictly a "lime aventus".

note: ive only tried aventus cologne not the original

Got to retry a lot more of the LVs too. Standouts were Afternoon Swim and Meteore, but honestly a lot of their fragrances have a lot of overlapping DNA so it's really just personal preference.

I could see Durban Jane working in some situations. Aventus. BR in some situations. Maybe bois imperial. Carby is pretty versatile. Acqua di parma.
