    Can you source these studies?

Roland Fryer (black, Harvard economist) found racial disparities in use of force but not in shootings. Other academics have challenged these findings though

Yes they’re laughing at those people. That’s why it’s funny. Same way the office is laughing at Michael Scott. But left wingers for whatever reason have decided that people are too stupid to determine for themselves who the butt of the joke is

It’s like banning Pepe Le Pew (which has actually happened and he was cut from Space Jam)

No one watches Pepe Le Pew and thinks “wow that’s who I should emulate. I should harass women.” He is the butt of the joke.

purely in terms of shows rn

laughing at them is great but it doesnt automatically make the show funny

    blonded

    Just post the joke man

Pretty much anything Richard Pryor, Dave Chappelle, and Chris Rock have done. Chappelle makes fun of trans people in his Netflix specials. Were they not funny? The rotten tomatoes audience meter and the reaction to them beg to differ. Is Chappelle alt right? Is he a pipeline to the alt right?

Maybe I should bc it seems like “edgy” to y’all is just a code word for racist / sexist. I’d say a lot of Richard Pryor and even Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock’s humor was edgy, especially for its time. Rock even stopped doing his “niggas vs. black people” bit for a similar reason that Chappelle left his show. Didn’t really love who was laughing and how they were laughing. Not to mention the entire bit was basically something a racist would say (“there are good blacks and bad blacks”). But it got a big laugh and was funny

Crazy how they just matured and stopped telling the jokes instead of becoming an alt right militant huh

who gives a f*** where they go?

they should go outside and breathe some fresh air, possibly a therapist if anything

I give a f*** if I want to live in a world with fewer alt right people but maybe that’s just me. maybe you want more of them and it will give your life meaning to have more to crusade against

Danny boy was shelved by death row for being problematic, had d*** issues, and got blackballed by the industry. Also Danny boy was born in 1997, if he f***ed Mary at the source awards he was 18...fool is probably just clout chasing

Not saying it’s not true, but he is not a very trustworthy source lol

apparently he was getting b****ed around by labelmates on deathrow lol he later came out as gay too

When the creators of the show themselves have said something along the lines of "people are too stupid to determine for themselves who the butt of the joke is" and is part of the reason why they changed up some of the humor of the show or went further into showing how awful particular characters are, that should tell you why the edgy/offensive humor isn't good.

If edgy humor is making people become pieces of s*** or lean more towards the alt-right, that is more of a problem with the individual and not necessarily the edgy humor. HOWEVER, the edgy humor is still not right, because it's bases itself on being offensive and it allows genuinely bad people to had behind that humor as "It's just jokes!" when in reality that's how they actually feel about the groups of people being made fun of.

Reading the post in OP got me confused lol

Danny Boy was born in 1977?

And said he ain’t smash Mary till after the 1995 Source Awards?

Wouldn’t he be 18 then and not 15-16?

You didnt answer my question. If its found offensive then what? Are you saying you dont care if you offend?

No I don’t care if I offend. Lots of people were offended by Chappelle. Pryor. Rock. Lenny Bruce. All the greats. I don’t care if I use cracker or honky and someone is offended by it
