x was versatile but i dont think he did anything amazing

His ability to transfer emotion and energy was simply next level that’s why Kendrick said “if you feel anything listen to this album”

He was an artists’ artist and put concept at the forefront that’s the s*** I f*** with. I’m the type of fan who thinks owl pharaoh is Travis’ best project & I know it’s the least polished

But he started the album with a dream state of his parents banging on his door and then falling back asleep and vividly describing a dream of the KKK chasing him then wakes back up and says oh s*** I cummed on my boxers lmao

There’s so much I can get into that album. Artists who can be in that vein are my favorite.

Must suck to be a dusthead

Im not, I just dont find anything with X interesting and im just not sure what you or the people that do are hearing.

He was versatile but it doesnt mean much when none of it creates good music

It was good that’s why he’s in the top 20 all time on Spotify

& Spotify doesn’t even have half of his songs

his ability to convey emotion didnt translate into connecting with him entirely, i never once had his songs hit me the same way it did with Cudi. Bruh 17 dropped at one of the worst points of my life and nothing really connected other than jocelyn flores, it all seemed surface level. I know a lot of other people feel differently, but im not alone in this critique as well. It just is what it is, he is talented but in terms of all his styles i never thought he did anything amazing. He might have been able to perfect some of it down though.

Nah just recognize what he gave to the world and realize he’s just not your cup of tea if you’ve even tried to really listen to most of his music

His rage songs were peak rage

Maybe you just don’t like to rage but sometimes I be in the mood for that s***.

He was taken off the planet prematurely so it’s hard to say what he would’ve done but people connected to him on a different level that’s why this happened

It really is nothing but trolling on KTT about this dude they act like he wasn’t s***

When I saw Denzel live he played Look At Me and Take a Step Back and the crowd was more hype for those than the Denzel songs

That video of Denzel playing Look at Me shortly after X died, the video looks f***ing HOT like physically apocalyptic heat lmao, looks like some Mad Max, rave-at-Zion in Matrix Reloaded sweaty hot. But damn the crowd was wild for it

Replying again to confirm, Look at Me gotta be one of the hardest songs of the 2010’s. This s*** is at least top 3. A definitive banger

I pity people who were around to witness him but were willfully ignorant. Once in a lifetime artist and career. You'll never see someone like him again because literally every card was stacked against him but he succeeded anyway.

Easily the most popular and most influential song to come out of Soundcloud imo

  • Aug 11, 2020

Never enjoyed his music but he was definitely an influential and impactful artist. The people that excessively hate on him are corny but let's not pretend he was this once in a generation artist.

  • Aug 11, 2020

it’s mostly because of the abuse

  • Aug 11, 2020

He had alot of potential and some great tracks but very inconsistent, simply just not enough time to develop

That’s not even my argument and I know for a fact you know that but you just want to troll

My point is he is revered and the trolling about him is simply that. The level of dismal on here about him is straight foolish.

You don’t have to like him
