How lol ? Y’all have beef with sales threads for no reason . Tracking numbers for how big something is , is relatively normal for music or anything really. Since we did we have review threads or since when did critical acclaim in music matter much ? This isn’t video games

All numbers are equal. But some are more equal than others

we didn’t have all this sales talk on KTT1, it was relatively minimal, it got so bad on here that a mega thread had to be made because all you niggas would do is bring up sales to either praise or detract from an album

why do critic scores and acclaim not matter? why doesn’t it count?

I feel like music is too subjective for music reviews to mean much and tbh they haven’t meant much in a minute . Me saying this isn’t me saying that sales equals quality either. It just shows at least interest and longevity. There is no perfect gauge for how “good” something is tbh.

I don’t care for reviews for any artist , especially the hundreds of artist i listen to that haven’t debut in the top 100 once . That last comment is pointless and must not be targeted at me

they genuinely just turned modern day music discourse into sports talk, it’s insane lol

i wish they would be consistent and at least become Taylor Swift stans/country stans but they don’t wanna go that far for some odd reason

Reviews for my games and movies i take note of but i can’t gauge how i enjoy music from reading someone else’s opinion on it in any capacity . If y’all do then more love to y’all but don’t come for me like I’m arguing that music sales define quality either . Y’all talking like y’all expecting for everyone to have the same argument points or sum

Was reading the rolling stone critique by Mosi Reeves .. who is a Grammy contributor who found it offensive for Drake to diss Espironza.. and made his bias clear in the review.. I felt like a lot of the other reviews like pitchfork made some reasonable claims.. this rolling stone (not the first time) just written with hate and bias .. I am shocked that these are the same people who contribute to Grammy results .. especially allowing bias to affect your critique of the music

Drake was simply telling a story about his past which an artist should be allowed to do and he gets criticized for it
