    there's this youtuber who used to be big in the rap reaction scene and hes been rolling out his album for the last like 5 years. well long story short one of his 'original' photoshoot ideas was apparently bitten once or twice by other more active artists recently

    all ima say on it is this: RELEASE YOUR F***ING MUSIC AND THEN TALK S*** ABOUT WHOS BITING AND WHO ISNT. STAY F***ING ACTIVE. this reference team is taking these dudes for mummies and snatching their s*** thinking theyre not doing anything with it anyway. dont be f***ing stupid!

    I understand a lot of people saying "who?" but Tyler definitely knows Duckwrth lol he's invited him to Flog Gnaw a few times. They came up in that same LA artsy alt-rap scene around the same time interestingly enough. He has even collabed with Syd a few times along with Hodgy.

    KTT might not know Duckwrth much, but he's got work with notable artists that y'all have probably heard of. And if not, they are definitely good. Kyle Dion, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Channel Tres, Syd, Earthgang, Kilo Kish, Jordan Ward, Phabo, Toro Y Moi, Larry June, and a bunch of others.

    It's funny going through this thread and seeing Tyler fans s***ting on him when he's really not even that far off from Tyler in regards to their artistry.

    i'm just bouncing off your comment cos i looked him up and this is one of the worst songs i've heard this year

    i thought toro was a visionary in 2012 what a disaster

    Why are people acting like he's reaching lol, the suit and hair plus the album title similarities are quite close.
    People would have definitely dragged him and called him a copycat if he didn't call it out beforehand.

    I don’t think it’s far fetched to see Tyler finding out about Duckwrth’s concept before it came out and copied it for his own album

    so tyler and the label threw a bunch of money over this really cool green suit he saw from duckworths stylist moodboard?

    Causers of This great, Underneath the Pine eh. Anything in Return great, What For? and Boo Boo mid. Outer Peace decent, Mahal great. Now there's Hole Erth which is all over the place and mostly ass.

    If anything, it seems more like inspiration than biting

    I dont see anything that resembles the old timey, dr strangelove military vibes just color scheme. Which is lowkey a reach cause tyler color palletes always had this shade of green.

    The devil horn font prob the only thing that fully resembles what dckwrth did with his font

    first two and the oddities and loosies of that era are all classics to me, causers of this was good and the rest is just the bumpiest ride that barely reaches good for me
    i listened to the newest one in full and he just sounds uncomfortable, like he's in a weird place growing older but instead of locking into what he's talented at he digs deeper into soundcloud and tries to steal sauce from kids he could never match

    It's weird because Mahal was actually a pretty cool return to form to his first 3-4 albums, except he evolved the sound and made it into a more grown funk sound. Would've been perfect for him to continue down that lane. I don't know what the f*** he was tryna go for with this Hole Erth album
