Space Heavy
June 9
The album description fyi:
'Archy Marshall announces the release of 'Space Heavy', his 4th album under the pseudonym King Krule. Written between 2020 and 2022 over the course of the musician's journeys between London and Liverpool, the opus offers a reflection on the notion of "space between" ("the space between"), a space inhabited by dreams of love and marked by stories of lost connection. Produced with the help of his long-time collaborator Dilip Harris and King Krule band members Ignacio Salvadores, George Bass, James Wilson and Jack Towell, 'Space Heavy' is a record inhabiting the depths of the sonic world created by Archy Marshall over the past few years, blending the best of his oeuvre into a dynamic and mature set of tracks, emphasizing negative space as much as positive space.'

good eats
Wonder if this will be more Ooz-esque in structure than Man Alive considering they’re calling it an “opus”
Let’s hope this is the one
OOZ is album of the life contender for me but Man Alive was a miss by comparison
Very exciting, I did a complete 180 on Man Alive great album

Isn’t an opus also just a reference to a seperate work
Isn’t an opus also just a reference to a seperate work
I always took it to mean like a large sprawling project, atleast in scale. I remember Ooz rollout/reviews I saw that word used a lot. I don’t think you’d call Man Alive an “opus”

Man Alive and The Slow Rush were the soundtracks to my lockdown, listened to them like everyday
are you me?
If this album is as good as his other 3 he has a solid case as one of the best guitar based songwriters of the 21st century
Man Alive is one of those early covid lockdown albums that is just totally lost in time in my brain. Simultaneously feels like it came out 10 months ago and 10 years ago
