they're making this a fake reality show veneer. Famous House is the the fake show, Fishtank is the real show. G and Ben the two hosts/directors you see are playing into alt personas for Famous House. Him directing the scene is for the illusion and also for when the actual show is over, they'll cut those hand shots into an edited Youtube video.

Burt and the other OGs spent the first two weeks thinking they were in "Famous House", and then they revealed "Fishtank" to them, so they know all the f***ed up s*** that will happen. Fans always suspect there being a plant, so they've kind of turned the tables where we know the 4 OGs are plants in "Famous House Season 2" and have to keep up the illusion while the new contestants experience it for the first time.
