I cant see any voter taking in everything trump said in that debate and believe he is the answer. If you vote for him after that its either delusion or you havea problem yourself.

He believes the election is rigged already. He accepts racists to vote for him and energizes them. He'll attack his opponents family members at the drop of a hat. Getting into verbal arguments with a moderator who's bias was towards his own side.

The man saying he's the best president for black people ever, with the only exception MAYBE being Lincoln.

Sky news breakfast show here actually managed to get our health secretary to say that your ex pm was a sexist, a homophobe but also good at making trade deals the other week probably wouldn't get that said on prime time sky news about a liberal party pm on australian sky news

yeah i'm in the uk. we have a public broadcaster that has i think around 80% of market share for broadcast and online news, which helps but cos their budgets have been cut they get a lot of stories from Murdoch papers now too. most of the print press is owned by him too or people like the barclay brothers who are similar.

his papers have run full front pages in the UK boasting about how they've lost elections for the uk labour party. they're relentless

What do you consider positive impact, America is debatably one of the most prosperous countries ever, it’s also the most diverse , and it keeps on improving socially (as far as equality for people of differing race and sexuality goes) but of course it has flaws but what I’m stating is in regards to other country, never less you want someone who is going to radically change it? Can you understand why someone would see your point of view from a negative light ?

And You say say they have no real plan for any of those things you understand you spit in the face of all the work people have doe. ACA insures 20 million people, veteran homeless act gave housing over 90% of homeless veterans (don’t quote me on that I don’t remember the exact number) they passed a whole bunch of legislation to phase out coal and incentivized the world to start being more green with the Paris accord aggremebt and more

It ain’t easy to make change for anyone so don’t look at the ones doing it and say “your doing nothing”

yeah you don't understand how much Murdoch has power here literally runs 75% newspapers here & our left wing paper is now owned by ex liberal party member

yeah he owns everything here too, but our TV has to come off more impartial than most countries. it's not really impartial but it's way more balanced than fox or msnbc, that wouldn't be allowed on uk air. that will probably change soon tho, ik murdoch wants to start a tv station here.

the last time labour won elections in the uk in the 2000s and 90s, they had murdoch's support, his papers have backed every PM since the 70s. they won him over when they started ditching policies like nationalisation and tax hikes. part of why things were so hostile for them recently was cos they returned to those policies. it was really the left foreign policy that destroyed them tho imo.

and yh they were replaying her speech when he got picked for the uk government job

plus he's lowkey a climate change denier; at the very least he has no satisfactory climate plan considering our current global situation.

I haven't done a lot of research on Biden's climate policies but from what I've heard, it's promising, and may be the best aspect of his platform, I just hope he sticks with it if he gets elected

edit: it's not the new green deal though, not sure how i feel about this

ACA is a start but it doesn’t change that America has probably the worst healthcare system in the developed world

And that climate legislation is laughably false
America hasn’t even signed the Paris accord
They’re the only country in the world not to sign

Of course people worked hard to pass something like the ACA but they had to work hard because of America’s clusterfuck of a political system

yes i watched the BBC doco about how he influenced the Tony Blair winning

yeah big issue in America is that a law that changed under Clinton was that tv stations were allowed to just put on left wing or right wing candidates while before that if you had left wing candidate you had to balance it out, they thought this would benefit them but it really hasn't

this let Murdoch to create fox news and look where they are now

We haven't had labor PM since 2013 and in state level NSW way before that, last election was disgusting through literally this guy named Clive Palmer which has his own party decided to run smear campaign on labor (which were ahead polls by a lot) attacking on couple policies mainly of the "death tax" and literally spent more money then labor and liberals combined literally couldn't escape his AD's on everywhere and it worked so well where the liberals won

motherfucker spent 80 mill on ads for country which has population fo 25 mill people

He actually did give out some policy examples like 3-4 times (punishing cops, Supreme Court nomination process, renewable energy)

I have no idea what Trump's plan is. I don't think he knows.

tbf outside of Iraq, Blair was still more left wing in gov than most mainstream dems like biden and obama

yeah the tv media can still find ways to make it biased in the uk, but it gives a little more fair hearing to parties like labour. idk about australia, but in the uk now labour is dependent on the unions with only two national papers backing it, so it needs a fair broadcast hearing in elections to get anywhere

we haven't had labour since 2010, but tbh they did some good things domestically in the 90s and 2000s but by 2010 they could have turned from centre left to full out right wing, so maybe the 2010 loss saved the party. 10 years is a long time with a right wing conservative government constantly cutting to public services tho.

yeah that seems like a tactic where donors back a third party to undermine the main left alternative imo. in our last election, the third party got almost double the money donated when they only have 11 seats and labour always have 200+. i have no problem with third parties, but i'm cynical about why people donate so much to these parties.

and they always find a way to give it some menacing name that no one would vote for like the death tax lol they do the same with naming negative things positive things too
