Criminal's what got me hooked on her stuff but I don't find myself going back to it a lot when I dive back into her music
Crazy how she wrote it in 45 mins tho. It's more nuanced and creative than what teams of 8 are able to come with after months of work for big-name popstars
NME's description:
"This time there’s a more untamed fierceness in Apple’s voice, as she relays tales of feminism, abusive partners, the sacrifices of love and the dinner parties she won’t be quiet at. Unrefined sounds recorded in her LA home make for a visceral listening experience."
Why would KTT f*** with this? Honestly, I'm glad it's not just being clowned 24/7.
The main criticism I see of this album is that it's too white
Like...ok?
lol I don't understand that at all tbh. No disrespect to any other artist out there but what makes this too white but a Taylor swift album not.
idk

Criminal is a great song but her later stuff is so much better imo

the comment box might be more cancer then ktt reaction this album
so many people use the wrong tactic when recommending some artists to people. you need to pick one song and it has to be the right one.
for example, when you want to get someone hooked onto fiona, always use this song. been tested many times before
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfXvIs9bojMlol dawg ur a f***ing saint, i've been having trouble getting into her stuff and this was the first song that caught my attention, now I'm gonna give her a chance for sure
Finished listening to it. It's a very good album no doubt. "I Want You to Love Me" and "Cosmonauts" are both my favorite tracks.
Gonna be honest though, the whole 10/10 perfect album thing from a lot of reviewers right now is overblown imo. I feel like the production and vocals are on point, but I def feel like there's filler in there. Same exact way I felt about Idler. Maybe it's because I just get bored of tracks when she does that repetition thing where she keep repeating lines over and over, idk :dno:
Just say you don't like certain songs but there's absolutely no "filler" on this album. Nothing is low-effort and every song is meticulously thought out.

But if it wasn't "white" the same posters would call it cultural appropriation
Can't win over those guys

hell yeah was about to make a post
couple spots on the album remind me of her
Just finished first listen, very solid album. Great production, creative writing, and her vocal range is awesome. Album kinds gives me Lennon vibes.
Album cover is terrible though honestly. Imo album covers are important for setting the atmosphere of the album especially for a first listen. Which this album doesn't do.
