Just listened to the start of the album and this is not my type is music. Cool she got a 10
you cant be serious yeezus was seven years ago. Pitchfork is that picky with their scores. damn
Oh f*** u just reminded me that yeezus was 7 years ago, f***, time an anomaly
Her energy here is remarkable. So spontaneous and yet each song so far has a push-pull tension that defines the structure.
Lol. Twigs is only 2 albums in. Fiona is so legendary (as was Kanye with MBDTF) that they just get that unanimous praise, and deservedly so
Yeah the universal acclaim isnt shocking. The Idler Wheel was one of the most praised album of 2012. And in 2020, she is about to get at least a 95 on metacritic especially when acts like Dua Lipa flirt with 90. On the bright side, this album is fire 🔥
@Soupvillain
@pneumonia
y'all weren't kidding this album is crazy. might be one of my best first listening experiances
Couldn't even sleep just thinking about it 😅
So happy you love it too! I'm getting ready for my first listen of the day
oh snap really. who would hate on Tidal and when the pawn?
90s and 00s were such a misogynistic time for music reviewers. I remember reading the When the Pawn review years ago and it was the most backhanded compliment ever. It's still on the wayback machine but I think they nuked the early review for Tidal. That one was brutal
Rack of His and Ladies are special for me for some reason
Ladies top 2
production and delivery some of the best Fiona has done
That pitchfork review is actually really written too. For whatever reason, they always show out for 9+ reviews writing wise (except for TPAB). Seems like the writer is not only a fan but also took their time to really listen to the record before writing the review

her voice on that s*** is godlike. im high as s*** so i shed some tears ngl
Ladies has some great tongue-twisting lyrics. Sounds like it would fit in well with all her other records. Very cool song
