I love QT as a director but I love him as a writer wayyyy more. After his silly 10 film rule I’d be down to see him just write screenplays for other great directors to tackle. Same way Coen brothers allow other directors to tackle some of their scripts.
I swear to god if we get a Tarantino written, PTA directed film
I need to revisit it
ngl, the first watch I felt underwhelmed, despite really liking some parts but it felt too… basic?
and I know Fincher could never and he’s such a perfectionist that everything is deliberate so I read some interviews, reviews, and looked into things (like the aliases he used are all references to sitcom comedians, i was obvious to WeWork so understanding that for a bit of context for some of the scenes, etc) and after rewatching it i understood it and appreciate it better
really i might have to rewatch it AGAIN lol
Of all the rumored tarentino sequels we get this one that totally didn’t need one
But the fact he didn’t let that movie critic script go to waste tho
and we get this AND one final movie from him as well :
Pitt liking the script this much doesn't intrigue me that hard. need to see if Leo is actually on board

True, Pitt just does whatever these days
That bullshit he just did with Clooney for apple

I wonder who he would let direct Kill Bill 3
I also wonder how much of a choice he had on Fincher. We know for sure Brad picked him, but I wonder if Quentin had to sign off on it, or if Netflix paid for the script + rights and he then had no say
Wonder if this is gonna end up being almost like an Alien/Aliens situation where the sequel will be a big stylistic departure from the original?

real talk lmao

I’m honestly confused on how the movie critic morphed back into OUATIH

Since bro collabing Can we get the Jerrod Carmichael Django/Zorro collab?!?

Guessing the cliff booth role must have been more than a cameo lol
Would be cool. Fincher is a better director than Tarantino anyway, technically speaking . He can make this one maybe a little bit less boring.
I can't remember the movie too much but wasn't The Irishman ok?
My brain has memory holed some stuff pre pandemic, its the damnedest thing
Yeah with Netflix right? Thats what I was referring to was watchable Netflix movies
I didn't care much for it tbqh
The Killer will share the same fate as American Psycho.
Largely misunderstood by the general public, taken to literal - only to be appreciated and seen as genius years later.
My friend derided it as “corny”
like, bro, that’s the f***ing point !!
