Fr, been on chap 6 for days now (Keep falling asleep so i haven’t beat it
)

Wasn’t feeling Chapter 6 either, was tedious
Wait so this only covers a portion of the OG game

So I’m on chapter 9 right now and I gotta say, the last few chapters have been kind of bleh. Still GOTY, don’t get me wrong.
I feel like a lot of the s*** it’s making me do is boring and tedious, and the rewards are never equal in payout. I’m not even asking for rewards like items or Materia or any of that, I kinda just want the story to progress. That’s all I ask.
It’s like an hour of busy work for 5 minutes of story progression.
Anyone else feel this way? Does this improve?
I see what they’re doing with the ending. I like it, not sure if I love it yet but I guess the payoff will be to see what’s to come in Part 2
Okay I’ve given it some thought, I’m on board with it. I’m down for new things just wish it wasn’t so out of left field for the final chapter.

But what does this mean tho, is the game is going to be released in parts or what?

The only things about the game that were tedious to me are:
• the forced walking sections
• any time you have to go through a narrow space in a wall
• the monkey bar sections (seriously the worst parts of this entire game)
• how sensitive the (Δ) objects are, like buttons and doors. For some reason, like halfway through the game it was like if i didnt approach them perfectly and stand in the right spot, i had to walk in a circle and try again
• fighting sahagins, AKA "lol wouldn't it be funny if we made the player fight 4 of them at the same time, twice?"
Everything else, including the side quests, have all served a narrative purpose or gave good rewards. It's not like there's a lot of them anyway, it may seem like they take forever cause of how slow Cloud moves sometimes (or when you're forced to walk).
I didn't have any problem doing any of them cause getting any item/money/equip that could make hard mode a little easier is def worth it. (Getting a ps trophy is also worth it to me lol.)

Yeah they said this a long time ago. Cause of how space was required for everything wanted to do with Midgar.
I dont like it either and think its dumb, especially seeing how restricted the space of Midgar actually is now. But at the same time i understand it
I swear when they first said it's gonna be broken up into different games, they said it was gonna be more than 2 of them...but recently everything ive seen and people talking about it have made it sound like its only gonna be one more after this one. Which is kinda odd considering that in the OG game, the first part (where this first remake game takes place) is literally like 1/5 of the entire game.
So if there only is gonna be one more installment after this, im curious how they're bout to fit ALL the rest (or even most of it) into one disc, even if its a PS5 disc. Cause if this first one is really maxing out the PS4 disc capacity, there's no way they are bout to finish this up with one more game without sacrificing a s*** ton of content
If the next game isn't AT LEAST on par with the amount of content and world map in DQ11, I'm gonna be mad tbh

The lore and game is great and now knowing this isn’t even the full game makes it all the more tempting to go into details. We’re going to have to wait years for the next one aren’t we

The narrow space slowdown was the worst one for me, especially at Wall Market, actually I think it's tied between that and the god awful camera in small ass rooms. Flying enemies frustrating af to fight sometimes too
I noticed the forced walking sections but it didn't bother me that much, sometimes I think its done because the game wants you to hear dialogue before getting to a certain location.
I think there was like 3 side-quests that I liked, the rest just felt like filler/busywork and kinda brought down the game for me tbh, I believe that only a few of these actually gave worthwhile rewards too.
I kinda wish there was less side quests and more VR battles instead cause I really f***ed with those.
Theres not much for exploration on this either for a FF game but I guess thats gonna be on the next part (i'm hoping so anyway)

Supposed to come out next year i think? Thought i saw someone say that earlier
