Played through the ps1 ver for the first time and finished it today I watched advent children right after too Overall fun game/story with a cool twist in the middle Bosses for the most part were not that challenging except for the final one. I found it hilarious how his simple attacks were hitting me for 6k and while supernova itself has a crazy ass (and long) animation doesn't (thankfully ) insta wipe my team Summon Materia are hella OP (esp bahamuts).

As for the movie, man what a great lil movie to accompany this game!! The fights were SO NICE esp the final one

Gonna wait for Crisis Core and remake to go on sale so i can get em. I def feel the hype for rebirth even more now

But at the same time didn’t stop me from putting in a s*** of hours on Elden Ring

I was on the fence on which one I should play first and I read that many ppl still rec the OG first due to the story being somewhat altered in remake so I gave it a go .

@ShintaroKago I think what I like the most about Remake is that it is one juxtaposition after another. Cloud the SOLDIER holding a flower basket in the middle of a little an oasis surrounded by steel skies. In a world where we are trying to blend everything together because we think that's what makes things beautiful, I love that the team chose to go the other way and embrace the beauty of contrasting things, not just visually but also the dialogue/voices, symbolism, music/sounds.

finally playing the OG, few hours in and this is amazing once I had to go get panties and a dress I knew this s*** was incredible

This is the first Final Fantasy game in a long time where the developers were allowed to iterate upon their previous work rather than start something completely new from scratch. This is apparent in how much wider Rebirth is in scope compared to Remake though I hope it isn’t bogged down by open world fluff.
