I just thought the game running at (upscaled) 4K30 in graphics mode was disappointing, let alone the performance mode being 720p60 in combat with FSR upscaling.

Definitely wasn't the end of the world, but sucked playing an action RPG at 30fps. The Eikon fights looked incredible though; they did an amazing job on those.

Fantastic game… 7-8/10

Only thing that brought it down were the long stretches of hardly anything happening plus the boring side quests, which got better at the end but it was too late

Also wasn’t a fan of some aspects of the ending, but still overall I enjoyed this much more than 15(which I liked) , and it’s easily one of the best games I’ve played in a while, i look forward to the dlc

When there was waves at one part before the first ultima fight in castle towards the end and he groans something like "more enemies" it felt abundantly self aware

just do the chronolith trials on normal or easy difficulty I think right ? I didnt play around with them too much

The lows of the sidequest and some other parts took it away from me personally . Also as I’ve said wishing there was more to the weapon upgrades , party system even if they aren’t directly controllable

Like the boss fights really carried this for me . I did like all the side quest like no joke all . Enjoyed my time with it but something felt missing

Zelda I haven’t played but I see clearing it if you are talking overall game awards .

Finally finished this yesterday after taking a break post-Bahamut and man what an ending loved the final side quests too
But yeah games biggest issue is definitely the pacing when trying to complete side content too
Still a 9/10 to me and my GOTY so far
