Oct 28, 2021·2 repliesJJThaJuicemanX is a classic, and one of the best games of the PS2 era. The hd remaster along with X-2 usually goes on sale too. To be fair, X is turn based, and I know that not everyone is fond of that. But if you can get past that, it’s great, and many FF fans consider it to be the best if not Top 3.
XV, on the other hand, is an experience. Horrendous story, combat that works 2/3s of the time and some of the weirdest game design choices I’ve ever seen. I know that’s not really selling it but, dude. If it wasn’t for the phenomenal main characters, the soundtrack, and the genuine dumb fun I was having hunting monsters, racing chocobo, the awesome summons, the spectacle of the boss fights and picking my favorite photos of the day, I don’t think I would recommend it. I’m telling you XV is this stupid fun roadtrip adventure of a game, and it seems like it has all these terrible things against it, but it works and is a experience I’ll never forget. I recommend it to people not because it’s a 10/10 classic, but because how much this adventure, NEEDS to be played through. Not a bad game in the slightest, but yes, it’s flawed for sure.
XV is also the closest thing to 7 Remake combat wise too, if that’s the main thing you are looking for

VIII first few hours are fine. It’s the rest of the game that’s the problem. Squall and Rinoa’s relationship isn’t written well, Laguna and the strange flashback sequences are convoluted af, the rest of the party have literally 0 character besides Quistis (in the first couple hours lol, after that she can’t think for herself), and the all the stupid s*** with the Queen is terrible.
Junction system is bad no matter which way you spin it. It’s either a headache to deal with it, or a broken mess where you go into god mode lmao. There’s no nice middle ground. This hinders so much of the game considering how you have to switch through 2 different parties throughout the game, and how the final boss takes this in effect.
It still has some good stuff in it, but the negatives greatly outweigh it.

Oct 28, 20217-9 are my favorites. I'll never forget that summer I binged all 3 games. I had no issue with 8. It felt like it just built upon 7, but the junction system be a hassel if you don't know what to do. Squall just felt like a more emo version of Cloud, but he does develop better than Cloud.
10 is my #4 that game can never get old for me. I bought it twice. For my PS3 and my PS4 and beat it twice.
Honestly I'm surprised 13 didn't get a remaster. That game desperately needed a rebranding. Square really f***ed 13 and they probably could have rebranded it with a remaster on PS4/XONE. They could have fixed the issue people had with it and did see rebalancing. 13 isn't even bad, it's just meh.
