is my side quest glitched it says inspect Randal's body but it won't let me press x to inspect I just kept jumping and it has the camera icon on screen.

what is side quest name but yeah I think its likely glitched I would reload a save or autosave
yeah I would be fine with them stopping remakes and doing multiple gameplay styles with new characters or if XVII blended VII Remake and XVI in a way that took the best elements of both
Honestly I think they might as well go ahead and make a turn based lower budget FF with pre rendered backgrounds. XVI’s fidelity and spectacle is insanely impressive but as time goes by, games like a modern FF just take longer and more resources to make and while FF is still very profitable and can sell a s*** ton of copies at $70-100, they’d see better margins and we’d have new games faster if they spent less on graphics tbh.
I’d be okay with them chasing the look and feel of premium fidelity and there’s no better cheat code than CGI tbh
It just me or is this game stupid easy lol
Was saying this until like 50%, had to start buffing & changing moves
they know the strength of Nostalgia. Also remakes you already have outline of story and quest so they just like "shit the money here and fans day 1 we got this". I do think there is value in combining some how the turn based combat of previous games and action of this. How best they execute that I don't know but I would love to see it.
It’d certainly help if they didn’t throw EVERYTHING out when making a new game lmao. FFVIIR’s hybrid combat is a brilliant evolution of ATB imo and when the VIIR trilogy is finished I hope they don’t get rid of the concept.
Hell, I’d be down with that being the baseline for new FF games’ combat as long as they can keep it interesting and throw in new gimmicks and such
Also I hope to god FFX remake and FFX-3 are fake we really need to move on

yeah I was like it definitely kicks up at a point but depends how honed in someone is too

If some of the QTE was also mixed with like turn based moments or something feels like it could blend well but who knows. Want to feel slightly more strategic. Shocked that in new game plus you cant even unlock the ability to scroll through all eikons during battle
not yet no why you like it?
It’s the hardest mode in the game, harder than final fantasy mode. It’s even more challenging and enemies kill you way quicker lol

QTEs should logically go pretty well with ATB now that you mention it

Ultramaniac Mode isn't a full game mode I think its just exclusive to arcade mode so the hardest story difficulty is final fantasy mode still. I understand Arcade mode but its not for me

yeah like all those cinematic parts make some Active Time Battling so make the cutscenes of fights near playable with Active Time Battling. Keeps the player more active and thinking strategically throughout

you say this but i’m watching niggas struggle on bosses like Beni Eikon dying cause they used all their potions
So like it’s easy but the average gamer is so ass it’s really not

The only significantly hard thing was the level 50 dragon because he can one hit for entire health bar but gets easier with time
id say finish the game before your final critique. you might be hyper focusing on something that is only an issue in the first 10 hours of a hundred hour game
I don’t think you’re getting 100 hours out of this without at least 3 playthroughs. I’m 28 hours in and have done every side quest and hunt so far and I’m at 64%.
I think I’ll be done with this game at 40-50 hours.
Actually, I think one of the issues with this game is that they felt they needed to target a specific play time bracket due to expectations. Probably would’ve been much better off making this a 25-30 hour action game and cutting out a lot of the fluff.
It would help streamline the game and keep the pacing in line without having so many dull moments

yeah I half read what he said. The game first time for me with all side quest , marks everything was like 60 hours or so. That was with all filler . Final Fantasy mode would get someone to 100 hours but hours isn't really the issue here. Sometimes especially in this games case less would be more if they focused more on density like party system, elemental damage, criticals, rpg mechanics, minigames whole s*** would be immaculate. Still enjoyable ride . You will easily be done right around 40-50 hour mark. I slowed down to do extra random s***
need arcade mode dlc where its like mutliverse ff but you play as clive just wombo combo and dueling ff legends
need arcade mode dlc where its like mutliverse ff but you play as clive just wombo combo and dueling ff legends
Need Story DLC where that happens Because with that ending you could get away with it too. One book of Final Fantasy closed now it opens up for another character to be where and whatever

I'm only cool with the remakes if they don't "FF7R-ify" them.
FF7R is cool. But for FF9, please just make it the exact same game, and artstyle but with modern graphics, voice acting, and remastered music

exact same game in playstyle?

i totally agree with this, but would offer that almost every game could have a third of its playtime cut and would probably benefit from it

yeah i think the difficulty is definitely a casting a wide net type of thing. i do think they made a mistake with not offering a hard mode initially. kind of a weird holdover from the dmc series but in those the challenge is there enough that it sustains a normal initial play through

yeah a lot of these games are bloated but as someone who has beaten this game I can whole heartedly say parts of it really didn't add what they think it added. Especially since the new game plus mode is inevitable and hits so much different.
Like its only so much viewed as filler because side quest and completing them give you renown but doesn't change the world or how the world replies to the player enough.
