They shouldn’t have even put the early game side quests in 💯💯💯
These ones later in the game are so much better it’s like night and day

They are all incredibly good. Feel bad for anyone who skipped out on em.
Gonna be mad as hell if they have me collect eggs or something after this crazy boss fight

You clean tables
Having just 6 slots for Eikon Abilities all game and starving for AP even at level 43 feels criminal
Currently facing a level 50 hunt and baffled that it feels like this. Some high level stuff even if you are also high level feels cheaper in later game but learning . Makes me wish for elementals or status effect beyond just stagger

That Bahamut boss, they f***ing did it again

how can I spot them? I'm already at the point where I talk to an NPC and hit pause and hold triangle to skip whatever bullshit they want me to do

I know you’ve never played FF, but this is the most surprising thing about the game to me. FF are like the Gods of elements, status effects, and added effects on weapons/armor. It has been completely stripped from this game. Still GOTY for me, but it is a little disappointing that the upgrade system is so surface level given their history of this.

I mash X through most of them. Most of the ones before the pivotal story moment that warns you its pivotal are dogshit. After that I started running through all of them and mashing x through most of the dialogue unless its good. There are many good 2 part or 3 part side quest I may try to make a list of the ones worth doing for people.

I played Tactics Advanced. I know how the game mechanics of the games have worked lol. I have watched them I have seen gameplay and dabbled in others. So in terms of that I get it I think this game would be much closer to perfection with all those status effects you would come to expect the fact that enemies can't be lit on fire by phoenix abilities or critical hits with timing is baffling when you have all the elements.
When you get to late game you should in no way feel like a God but Combat should be more of a puzzle than " Let me do my standard combo I do on every enemy". I keep respeccing for various random reasons but the simple goal is dodge , parry , combo and stagger bar when there could be an added element to it
Shocked they don't add that in for New Game Plus, Maniac Mode or Final Fantasy Mode. The final 20% of this game ( mainly this S hunt I am doing where I am underleveled ) give me more of the game being cheap feeling than rewarding. I am doing the S hunt to get the strongest weapon in the game which is kind of my reward for doing all the side quest but the game so often doesn't want to reward the player enough for doing many many tedious task.
I got this at about a 8 though I am rooting for it. So far likely my game of the year but first half for me been slow because in no rush to play remakes

I’m sure they will either patch this in later or add it in expansions. It’s a miss and what keeps the game from being close to perfect. Still think it is a 9, but should have been a 9.5 if it had a couple more things.
Odin,Shiva, Bahamut and Titan Abilities I need to get used to because for the most part they feel too weak to me.

Still only have the first 4, but Titan feels strong to me after upgrading. I dropped Garuda
