Side quests aren’t all that different either.
Honestly, I think the big thing hurting the SQs most is presentation.
Witcher 3 SQs didn’t introduce any new mechanics or anything, but their presentation were on par with the main game, there wasn’t any weird disconnect.

Side quest kind of delivers world building and that is a dark world in a blunt way lmfao its like hitting you over the head with it rather than feeling natural. Also just sometimes odd. Blacksmith Blues one and Charon one enjoyable though
just beat garuda, i genuinely love this game and every time i even think about playing it i get a huge smile on my face. Not sure what my goty is gonna be this year, but I at least know it's between this totk and re4
