WigglerThat the setting was an isolationist continent based on medieval Europe, so having non whites would “violate narrative boundaries” or whatever. This is silly since nonwhites have lived in Europe alongside white people for a very long time.
But it’s especially egregious since the world design and culture of some FFXVI locations draws major influence from Africa, especially North Africa and the Middle East. Wearing so much of that influence without representing the people is a bad look

Jun 21, 2023Reading reviews and a lot of the main criticisms is that the RPG elements in this game are non-existent to the point that its hard to even call it an RPG
Kinda knew this was going to be the case when the state of play where they were going to showcase RPG elements had about as much RPG as God of War so I’m not that surprised at this.
People being this divided on the story makes me even more hype tho

No I am glad it got good reviews. This ending to a review is bonkers though to end a review like that. Its polygon. I am not hating if you can read I have been saying I am glad it got good reviews throughout and posted a 1 hour podcast where they called it best final fantasy
