You can change players by using the right stick too

Yeah I know but even that is usually a hit or miss. If you flick it quick it’ll change to the nearest player, if you hold it it’ll go a lot further. It’s just not precise or quick enough. With icon button, it’d rectify that issue completely.

The passing in this game is beyond frustrating at times. What’s the point of having a power meter if the pass is going to go as far or as close as the game wants it to be

Turn off assisted passing. Holding down the button doesn’t change the weight of the ball you play at all, it just affects how near or far of a player it will target. At that point you’re at the games mercy to play the right weight.

Good looks. Do you think it’s worth the change? I’ve been playing fifa for a long time so it’ll probably get some time to get used to no?

I personally still use assisted. It’s not that it’s way too hard to get used to manual, but it can be super frustrating if the connection is bad because you need that extra half a second to power up the bar to get the right pass off rather than being able to quickly tap the button and send a long pass.

If assisted is giving you a lot of trouble, it can’t hurt to try, though.
