Also havent seen a post about this but shoutout Soken he announced at fanfest that he was diagnosed with cancer and kept it a secret from his team because be didnt want to worry them, man loves his work so much that he made the To The Edge track whilst hospitalized and battling cancer, we dont deserve this guy man

You dont need a sub to play Heavensward, I think the free trial takes you to the end of it already

These developers pour so much heart and soul in to this game and it really shows. There's a lot of emotion in the writing and acting and every other production element but Soken's score is what really drives it home. It would have been a shame to lose him.

really cool looking area. pretty unique compared to a lot of the other places in heavensward, let alone the game itself.

I've been loving the different environments of Heavensward so far. West Coerthas is legit beautiful.

That was probably the most well-written FF game I've played so far. So damn good

This team deserves all the praise and seeing that they'll be the ones working on XVI fills me with so much hope for that game.

Stormblood was TERRIBLE.

could not care any less about lyse, wasn't a huge fan of the world design of most of the areas besides the hingashi region (mainly kugane), and the whole empire focus doesn't do too much for me. i wouldn't call it terrible, but heavensward and shadowbringers are just so much better lol.

I love Alphinaud so much

Alphinaud’s character (and also someone else) really is the emotional core of this wider narrative arc that started in A Realm Reborn and which is about to close in Endwalker. It’s not always the focus of each individual story arc, but the journey to understand why Louisoix sacrificed himself to protect Eorzea and the efforts to live up to that ideal is something that the game often refers back to.

Post-Heavensward spoilers

The scene where Alphinaud decides to treat his comrades not as powerful, ready-to-die warriors, but as people with lives that should be protected at all costs really got me thinking more about his character and how much he's grown between ARR and now.

I just finished the final steps of faith and watching Alphinaud and WoL pry Nidhogg's eyes from Estenien's body while the memory of Ysayle and Haurchefaunt appeared next to them almost broke me
