nyu professor says solution to society is for something to happen that will benefit them personally
so true!!!!!!!

what u think of rogers
I think his theory on self actualization is flawed tbh it highly depends on certain cultural assumptions of individualism
Don't think it's an inherently human thing

College got a Dean of the Water Fountains
Women are still going to college and working in spite of that.
You do realize women's percentage of the workforce is at it's lowest in decades, yes it's related to the pandemic but we all went through it. I think people have a greater sense of freedom because as an example access to the internet broke down this narrow idea of what success paths can be. We used to be fed very black and white ways to become successful. Unfortunately most people need a cookie cutter path to stability
you don't think seizing the means of production is a form of self actualization?
In a way it definitely could be
the real cause for this is social media and data a***ysis, majority of all these memes and general internet humor are meticulously fabricated by corporations to control the youth and install narratives. people didn't even knew what depression and mental health was before 2015
?
In a way it definitely could be
u rite tho i think self-actualization kinda a nebulous term tbh
Going to college would be exactly the type of thing that makes them broke and being surrounded by a lot of people doesn't make feeling lonely go away
I'm not going to college and I'm happy so are my other niggas
Crazy cause women aren't held to the same standard of needing to be educated and well off to have value to society or other partners.
this post is facts. why are you getting clowned for it?
this post is facts. why are you getting clowned for it?
Because if I say anything on this site it's automatically considered hate speech.
it goes vice versa. men aren't held to the same standard of attractiveness, fashion, and grooming that women are held to
but apparently if you point it out, you get called a woman hater

This is wrong and your evidence is anecdotal.
College is the only place in the world where you’re free with absolutely 0 responsibilities at least for most. Freedoms of an adult but free time and responsibilities of a child. During college, it’s probably the easiest time to meet people, you have a bunch of likeminded people that are pretty much the same age going through the same thoughts and chllanges as each other. So you may be a loner or whatever but you have a much higher chance of meeting people that can reverse that. If you don’t go to college and you’re a loner, the chances of you really meeting people goes drastically down because work will occupy most of your day. There’s a reason why people’s friend circles usually dwindle down when they stop schooling, there’s just less opportunity to meet others
Women now make up close to 60% of US college enrollees, a record, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The gap between men and women enrolled in college is quickly widening.
"The most dangerous person in the world is a broke and alone male, and we are producing too many of them ... unstable violent societies in the world, all have one thing in common: Young depressed men who aren't attaching to work, aren't attaching to school, and aren't attaching to relationships." - NYU professor Scott Galloway
So pretty much losers are destroying society cause they broke, jobless, and can't get p****. So this is how American society crumbles?
omg ahahaha if this aint a lie. dudes are sayin f college and going to trade schools. lots of dudes ik are bypassing college and becoming electricians, steel workers, etc
theres good money to be made without going in debt to a big university
High-key could be doing what I do now without the 5 years and tens of thousands spent in college tuition, but the people & memories are certainly worth it.
