Drew Findling plays a jail phone call of OTF Vonni:

“I’m going to be very emotional. I was his assistant so I had no choice. Aye, you have to make it sound good.

So when the judge hears it he will want to give you a lighter sentence.”

Findling: Is that you on the phone?

Vonnie: Yes

imagine you getting life and still taking the stand man that is some top tier hatred lol.

More phone calls were played from his time in prison.

Vonnie can be heard planning on monetizing off of his role in the killing of Saviay’a Robinson. 


Vonnie says in the audio recordings: “When I get out, Imma do a 60 minutes … because everybody’s gonna want to know.”
“We gonna post that MFer and let it do numbers.”

When asked about his plans to make money off this story, Vonnie says to Findling:

“The case is very big… I don’t know if you have social media—“

But is quickly cut off by the judge before continuing with this statement.

It is revealed that Vonnie has obtained a rights attorney, which he says is to protect the rights to his name and to his story.

Vonnie also ridicules both the prosecution, investigators and the judge during these recorded calls, saying.

In one call, he states he is surprised that the prosecutors are “not as smart as they think they are.”

Vonnie is heard saying that when prosecutors don’t “figure it out” that’s how he knows he is “moving correctly.”

In a later call played for the court, Vonnie says he plans to have the judge believing “I was his assistant — I didn’t have any choice.”

Vonnie stated he wanted the judge to leave the trial thinking, “Man, this guy really didn’t do this. That wasn’t his intention.”

This is when Findling ended his cross, telling the judge, “I have nothing further with this person.”
