How Jam started cooperating with the Feds:

He got pulled over and had a gun in his car.

He was still on parole from his 12 year case. Got arrested.

While he was in jail, he asked to use the phone and asked a guard if he can have a piece of paper to write a phone number down.

Guard gives him paper and Jam writes:
I know about murders.
I don’t wanna talk on camera.
I know a lot.

Hands paper to guard.

Prosecutor asked Jam why he decided to cooperate:

OTF Jam: I decided to talk to get it off my chest & I saw the opportunity when I got locked up.

I felt like this was done with people who shouldn’t have been there. Imma be honest it’s a difference if I don’t like you and I do something to you, I don’t feel bad about it…..this was an innocent victim

After the murder, Jam testified he called Durk and asked:

Out of everybody, there was a million people you could have called. I just did 12 years. This my first time I can be a father to my son.

According to Jam, Durk said :

"yall didn’t get Quando but yall got Pap. Pap count. He be on the internet talking about smoking Von, he can’t say it no more."

Jam testified this was said on a face time call and Durk was smiling when he said it.

OTF Jam:

The person I caught my attempted murder with (the one he served 12 years for), told on me and I went to jail.

So I don’t feel comfortable doing stuff with people I don’t know.

Prosecutor: You didn’t want to talk on camera with the body cams ?

OTF Jam: A lot of people getting exposed on social media.

OTF Jam: As a Black disciple that’s breaking all laws. You can snitch on a opp and get f***ed up.

I respect Mr. Jam’s logic here. He clearly has a plan.

I mean, no disrespect to the impressive performances of Lawyers like Brian Steel and the others helping fight the Feds on these charges, but Durk isn’t really being given a lot of wiggle room here..his charges are pretty binary
If he gets found guilty, that’s a mandatory life sentence

Here's some testimony from the afternoon:

Prosecutor: When a gang kills a rival. Is that person’s death mocked ?

Jam: Chicago made it popular to say you smoking on someone. Like smoking on Tooka. Tooka a person. That’s a dead oop.

P: Like smoking on his ashes?

Jam: Yes. Another word is smoked. Like he got smoked.

Prosecutor: In the red shoes. Is that you ?

Jam: Yes

Jam is seen wearing the same red shoes on the surveillance footage of the drive-by and at the In N Out

Prosecutor: In the red shoes. Is that you ?

Jam: Yes

OTF Jam: Boogie was driving fast as hell. I told Boogie drive slower. Bro, just be cool. He was on the phone with Dede.

Prosecutor: What did he say ?

OTF Jam: Did y’all hit something, who shot what. Who did what.

Prosecutor: How many times did you shoot ?

OTF Jam: 4 times. I heard that switch go off.

Prosecutor: Did you know you were in Beverly Hills ?

Jam: No. I didn’t even know what the Beverly Center was

Jam: He got mad at Flacka for shooting over his head like that.

Prosecutor: You shot at a gas station. Did you have any fear there could be an explosion ?

Jam: No

Prosecutor: What happened when you went to the In N Out ?

Jam: I seen a police officer. He sized me up. I didn’t know if my nerves got the best of me. He made me nervous.

Prosecutor: Why did you want to get out of LA ?

Jam: Didn't want to be there anymore

After that Brian Steel started the cross on OTF Jam.

The room was immediately tense. Steel’s demeanor changed from respectful to intense.

Steel: You are a scary person ?

Jam. Some may say that.

Steel: Objectively ?

Jam: I don’t even know what objectively means.

Steel: Your are a dangerous person, even right now ?

Jam: Nah, I’m chilling.

Steel: Do you realize how much time you spent tracking down and hunting your prey ? You come here and go right to killing.

Jam: Yes

Steel: If you looked at your to-do-list that day. It was to kill.

Steel: You are one of the highest ranking members of the Black Disciples ? You’re a Minster, yes ? That’s dangerous ?

Jam: Not every minister is dangerous.

Steel: But you are dangerous. You are a dangerous man as a minister of the Black Disciples

Jam: I’m not banking on Durk to get a life sentence

Steel: You want to go home Sir ?

Jam: I want a number

Steel: You in part have accused Durk of these crimes ?

Jam: I told the truth about him.

Steel: The truth is decided by others. True ?

Jam: True

Steel played an audio message of Jam talking to the FBI and LAPD in 2023.

Jam: They killed s***ty though. S***ty popped up on Lul Timm. Security told him to freeze and shot him in the back of the head. They had Timm there and S***ty got killed.

A recording from 2023 played in court showed Jam saying to FBI that Durk never said he was putting money on a Quando & Timm hit.

Jam: It’s more to it than that.

Steel: There’s always more to it than that with you.

Steel: Is that contrary to what you told the jury ?

Jam: Yes.

Steel: You are more important than the people you kill ?

Jam: (slight pause) No, I can’t say that. No.

Steel: By August of 2022, you have children

Jam: I have a son

Steel: That you hardly know

Jam: I had a relationship with him in prison

Steel. You had the opportunity to be with your son. Instead you were holding a gun to someone you don’t know.
