I participated in this and didn’t buy s*** today but it takes more than 1 day to protest.
Amazon Prime has 180 million members. More than half the population of the country, 3 out of every 5 adults.
Boycotting Amazon is a big deal
And they make more money off all those people (and more) without them even buying anything from their store.
I hope everyone did the opposite and drained their bank accounts today

I was telling people to boycott Amazon over a decade ago
That's how it is until you come up dollars short
most people who can't pay their rent aren't gonna save their way to success
most jobs have no upward mobility

these people aren't really standing on s***
the Alabama Bus boycotts lasted over 1 year
if you want true lasting change via protest, you have to cut them off from your dollar for a long time, even at the expense of your convenience and comforts
Says KTT’s #1 virtue signaler
I f*** with some of your angles but you do virtue signal like a mf on here also
Not gon hold ya she cooked you bro
I completely agree with you on that. I don’t think this should be an end all be all. What I guess I don’t like is people s***ting on things like this without context or encouragement for bigger ways to protest/send messages. We need more of what you just said versus “lol ain’t s*** gonna happen from this ima go order doordash libtards” as a response. Feel me?
Before this day, I didn’t see anyone encouraging others to push for a bigger protest or give examples of how we can create massive change. And yes you an research ways on your own but I’d like us to start thinking like a community and help each other and s***.

And this is where i gotta say, 9 times out of 10 u probably just didnt see it.
Cause the accounts I follow or at least the content that a lot of my friends re-post, talk alot about just that.
Those “libtard” comments in their defense is made out of emotion and hurt that for the past other days throughout the year, their talks about this stuff were most likely ignored or just not at all listened to.

But even during that boycott niggas had alternative options (carpools by volunteers, niggas that just walked, niggas that used bikes, or just used taxi services that charged the same as a bus) that made it to where you could sustain and folks didnt miss the old that much.
You gotta meet niggas where they at something the current left has a huge problem with judging by the lack of black faces i be seeing in radical spaces
I hate that (and this comment is not targeting you specifically but this sentiment I’ve seen all day) folks that are pretty well off enough to afford current inconveniences dont see how niggas that for example live in food deserts, just cant afford to have.
(When I first moved to nyc, I lived in east new york. When I needed to buy the foods I needed specifically and not use the high ass prices in the 1 neighborhood supermarket, i had to walk for a long ass time to get to a healthfood store.
And for an able-bodied 23 y/o college grad with free time that was doable. But we talking bout niggas that be having to work 2+ jobs at a time. Ppl with families (sometimes those same 2+ job having niggas correlate) that cant go on that whimsical walk to a healthfood store.
You gotta meet niggas where they at, and provide convenient alternatives. Where the volunteer gardens in the neighborhoods that’s gonna help feed their residential hoods? And/or local farms that can provide the meats (
) that dont got they chicken looking like popeyes the character to do it? Or the free lunch programs ala black Panther party for the youth dem type s***.
We gotta learn how to meet niggas where they at. Academia folks failing to do that for the past few decades has played a part in niggas looking to rappers and entertainers as “leaders”

yea our generation really dont know how to do protest at all that have weight .

People who don't save always end up in the same wealth class. So do people who make excuses for those who don't save. You must be disciplined to find financial success.

Most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck man. They literally don’t have the means to save money cause they can’t

I remember being young and dumb thinking this way
Hope you’re young and not just dumb
