I'm not sure what a 3 day pause is going to offer if they're serious about getting to the bottom of this reaction if it's a matter of determining a series of protocols in the event of a clotting reaction, that takes time, and certainly investigating the individual cases and extrapolating a connection from them is not a quick thing.

Sounds to me like they feel they have to do something and this is what they came up with. Unfortunately, the only way to prevent these extremely rare reactions is to pause the vaccine altogether, because all pharmaceuticals cause reactions 6 times out of 6.8 million.
