    i don't like lists i don't even remember the films i watched 10 15 years ago. the godfather (1972), the godfather 2 (1974), raging bull (1980), goodfellas (1990)

    my favorites now: senso (1954), rocco and his brothers (1960), the leopard (1963), the conformist (1970), 4 months 3 weeks 2 days (2007)

    Damn mf i personally can't get myself to watch anything before the 50's personally

    at a certain point it's less about "enjoyment" and more about appreciation

    something like cabinet of caligari is crazy influential and a very very extremely good film, but we can't enjoy it in the same way that we do with something like uncut gems. you have to think about old films in the context of their time.

    that being said man w a movie camera came out in the 20's and it's actually super fun to watch
