This was the issue, I took it out, it elevated my heel too much and made it rub up on the shoe. Overall, it didn’t fix everything, but I’ve got more room. The actual sole of the shoe is the main culprit

I think they’re a bit unreasonably thick? This design is a bit s***, as far as the insole shape. I’m flat footed so the curve doesn’t do me any favors but the additional glued heel sole is probably why putting it on is such a task
