the base feeling of "i want to dress cool but not in a teenager way" is really easy to recognize when someone thinks about what they wanna look like at first, since they might just not have the exposure to know what they really want out of fashion yet. I think a good thing about this uniform is it is generally easy to transition from the basics to things that reflect a person's style more gradually, as opposed to just wearing like all rick as a cosplay uniform when people ain't really about that

but yeah i get what he means, and he'll probably realize that stuff the more he gets into fashion and s***. ease of transition is probably why a lot of us and others ended up with uniqlo and then built out as we find styles, which is really just the "start with basics and find other stuff you like"

i just meant that i think we've all met ppl who dress boring af just cause they're too busy wanting to be "grown" based on standards and didn't want that for them if that makes sense
