has anyone owned unsanforized type i or ii jackets? did it feel worth the time investment to you? I have been tempted for a while to get into the game but mentally feels like a much bigger commitment breaking in a jacket than a pair of pants.

I've been considering a Type II for a while, I'll probably pull the trigger when it gets a little warmer out. I used to have a Type I but it didn't fit well... I think the key with raw denim is to not view it as an investment toward getting fades. It's an investment into a quality jeans jacket that'll eventually take on some personal character, as any quality fabric will.

yeah that makes sense to me. when I got my first pair of raws i was really dogmatic about wearing them every other day and all the rest which made me enjoy them less. feel like there is lowkey a culture that makes you feel like youre enjoying denim at the expense of the other clothes so youre right, gotta approach it more as buying longevity.
