Kanye's statements very loudly regurgitated harmful beliefs and stereotypes about Jewish people, emboldening likeminded people to be similarly loud and hateful and negatively impacting the lives of many Jews. He has never meaningfully apologized or taken responsibility for this. It is perfectly fair to look on him as a person who has caused significant harm to that community, because he has, and he has expressed no interest in making any sort of amends of it.
