Childish Gambino been one of my favorite artists for a bulk of the 2010s and for much of the 2020s so far.

I hate being around that nigga's fanbase sometimes. They can just be so...fuckin corny and lame to be around.I know it's because he has a lot of white fans so there's always gonna be some kinda disconnect outside of being fans of the same artist.

But just from what I've experienced by going to his concerts...it really is a significant difference between Black Gambino fans and white Gambino fans.

Frank Ocean stans are definitely a bizarre bunch. You have the ones who feel entitled af like how you're describing, then you have the ones who let Frank slide with the lame s*** he does and get mad at anybody who calls it out.

The parasocial dynamic/relationship between Frank and his fans is really f***in weird. They STILL use the fact that his younger brother died as a reason you can't be upset that Frank hasn't dropped any music. Like I'm sure Frank does his grieving, but these weirdos act like know this nigga well enough to even bring that up as a means of defending him. It's just plain weird and kinda gross.

Now personally I don't really mind Frank taking forever to release music. It's just the way some of them stans get when people understandably express some frustration or disappointment with such little information about music, or him lowkey bailing on Coachcella.
