I'm not a huge fan of how many modifiers/cheats the digital edition of 9 comes with right at the start tbh. Almost all of em are either too tempting to use, or they don't make sense in the developer's weird "okay/not okay to get trophies with" rule...
Like, 2 of the 4 Pause Menu toggle switches — the ones that don't affect earning trophies or save files — play the game for you just as easily as the 3 "trophies voided" one in the Party Screen config. The 2 i'm talking about are "All Hits 9999" and "Battle Assistance"...the latter of which is the understatement of the decade lmao.
Battle "AsSisTaNcE" — AKA, "Your whole arty's ATB is always full, infinite Trance, HP/MP doesn't decrease or take damage; and you can still earn trophies no problem."
That one is more ridiculous than any of the 3 Non-Trophy cheats (Master All Abilities, Max Lvl & Mag Stones, Max Gil). I even think there's a case for the "No Encounters" Pause switch to make it 3 out of 4 tbh... It would be so much better if they had all these things as unlocks for completing the game or getting certain harder trophies instead.
But goddamn do I love the Fast Forward option at least. I just went through Fossil Roo in like 5 mins
Can't wait to do the same for that f***ing "light the candles" puzzle castle s*** lmao. I hate those 2 parts.i never used any of that stuff except for the fast forward and the no encounters.

i used her a lot in my last playthrough. the only character i never gave a s*** about was amarant. i would have rather had lani in the party.

They really should've scrapped Amarant and replaced him with either Beatrix or like a dwarf from Conde Petie that doesn't fit in with his tribe (which is basically what Kimahri and the Ronso clan ended up being tbh)

Oh for sure i always end up using Quina a lot, esp in the latter half. She's too f***ing powerful not to use.

Have you seen the mod that was made a couple years ago where they made her a party member?
Not those old quick-fix GameShark type "mods" where her model/moves are just copy-pasted in your party and thats it. There was a more recent one where these mfers actually created entirely new plot scenes and dialogue where she joins your team and s***, and it looks like a part of the official game. And they also put her and new dialogue in other major plot scenes as well.

They probably just thought her story and "job" would be too similar to Steiner or something. They already had him for the Knight role and Freya as a Dragon Knight/Dragoon callback. So with those 2 (and two white mage summoners), I wouldn't be surprised if they were just like "fuck it throw something random in there to make it more diverse," and Amarant was born lol
