saw Lost Highway in the cinema couple years ago but it still didn't really do it for me
will never forget working for my uncle editing piano notes and hearing him practice this for his son's funeral in the other room, that coda puts me on the astral
damn...that's rough...
but about as strong a piece of music he could choose for that occasion. My goal is to be able to play the entire concerto one day. Or at least the entire second movement.
I was maybe going to play Chopin's Raindrop Prelude at my grandma’s funeral but now because of covid we're doing the memorial service over f***ing Zoom
Speaking of songs at funerals this radiohead cover still hits really hard, especially at 2:34

Lost Highway is peak Lynch to me, but the whole of Twin Peaks is close.

this is one of lynch’s scariest moments to me
this too…

Also when she looks at the priest at 0:25 like ‘is this motherfucker gonna start playing or what’

When they cut the music at 2:57 and all you hear is crying

ive always been conflicted about the thought of this, i guess when im dead idgaf anymore and maybe its weird and vain to think about or even select a sendoff jam. second ive went to a s*** ton of funerals in my life having a generally older family and irish funerals just get more fun and more fun the longer you have to go to them, an hour or so of sniffling and sobbing in the church/cemetary and a solid three hours getting plastered and partying.
play some b52s in dat b**** and see who the first one is that can nail a flaming arrow at my s***

Hunter S. Thompson had the right idea

yeah my parents attended a virtual jewish funeral and apparently the rabbi was funny as hell. Levity is prob the way to go

Decided recently that cremation is disrespectful to earth's cycle of life and I'm definitely getting buried in a biodegradable casket after getting butchered by the organ donor surgeons. Spirit will carry on smoother if the worms get to me.
