If you only keep a small following/follower circle on twitter, most of people you interact with regularly, then its def better than facebook.

But literally any kind of twitter outside that kind of a limited timeline, and also the trending & news pages = arguably more trash than facebook tbh. (Exactly like Letterboxd but way more extreme.)

At least in my experience haha. The last time i activated my old facebook account, 80% of the feed I saw was filled with friends from school and undergrad posting bible verses/viral christian sermons. And the other 20% was people announcing their marriages/pregnancies Those things alone justified deactivating my account again.

Facebook’s actually pretty decent if you unfollow the people you don’t actually want to see s*** from (relatives who mean well but post some realy awful stuff, weird coworkers)

Not in the mood to argue with aunt kathy abt how what she posted was racist even though she might not think it’s racist. I see people do that with their relatives and it always makes me cringe

A while back my brother (a reddit-tier atheist) posted a vid of himself passed out drunk and then our friend slapped the s*** outta him. And the first comment was from my 75 year old devout Pentacostal grandmother from middle of nowhere Alabama, saying "Brandon I'm praying very hard 4 u and hope u have a talk with Jesus real soon, he loves u no matter what. And whoever is putting their hand on my grandson, I hope the Lord Almighty witnesses this and delivers justice to u."

Yeah there’s more fringe or extreme s*** on twitter but you’ll at least find a good amount of people who can get on board with finding it silly. On Facebook it’s a mix of the stuff you’re talking about and people making essay long rants about current events or controversies and what not. The limited character count on twitter and the nature of how interactions on there works reduces this problem.

And speaking of Twitter, not to plug mine or anything but did y’all see this stupid s*** Pence did. Dudes trying to appeal to America’s love of meat. Lol

Or a few years ago when my brother was working at Olive Garden, and he had a big table of young army guys. (My hometown is a couple miles from the country's main infantry and training base so army guys with enrollment bonuses are f***ing everywhere.)

Their bill was over $200 and they didnt leave a tip at all. So later on, after my brother had gone out drinking, he got home and posted on Facebook:

"How come so many of these new Army a******s around here never f***ing tip while they're blowing their big signup bonuses all over town? To the table of new recruits that sat in my section tonight: I hope you all get sent overseas and are shot in the head."

The next day someone on Facebook reported him to Olive Garden corporate and his manager (cause his profile listed his place of work), and he was fired on the spot.

Which it complete bullshit. Idc what he might've posted, the whole recent "social media presence influencing job security" concept for everday working class people is evil as f***.
