Oh, dylankubrick, you gotta check it out - up there with ‘Rectify’ for me. Deeply sad, but beautiful

Broski I told him to peep Rectify haha The shots in this show really bring a natural warmth so many pseudo film directors wish they could pull off. From small town simplicity to large biblical conflicts, the themes just flow effortlessly. Deeply rooted in Faulkner, Mark Twain, and Flannery O'Connor.

Nice, I used to have a bunch of screenshots from the show on old laptop. Still remember all that Malick lite and the paint can drip

it was cool man haha I seen some parts of it before. tbh Carpenter can be a little hit or miss for me.. Like They Live and Escape from NY were alright but I love The Thing and Big Trouble in Little China.

    Still dig the mon's work

Same. Grew up on Big Trouble In Little China and The Thing... The rest don't have the nostalgia impact. Prince of Darkness was cool even for me.

Ever seen The Golden Child with Eddie Murphy? Same realm as Big Trouble, the 80s were wild
