Theres none at all iirc besides ambiance sounds like birds chirping etc. It makes a lot of the scenes way more tense imo

No Country one of those endlessly rewatchable films for me, everytime I watch I notice different things
Yeah that's the word I was thinking of
There was no music in No Country
I feel like there was a score for the landscape shots and definitely the chase scenes. Or do you mean soundtrack like songs not compositions?
iirc there was no music/soundtrack whatsoever in No Country.
But I could be wrong

Yes but also one of those things that's so good that you don't want to overplay it
Rewatch probably gonna hit with the strength of like 7 years life lived

The chase/gunfight in the middle of town is so intense I assume there was pulse pounding music but you might be right
The best is waking up on a rainy weekend and putting on an Ozu or something before breakfast even
aight getting back into watching folms tonight.
criterion channel doesn't have nearly as good a selection as filmstruck tf
what are some good streaming services yall use?
i thought filmstruck died? i just torrent or stream everything from whatever site i find on google if i don't already own it
We hammered it out during quarantine
first time in at least 6 years, still pure zenith
I'm barely halfway through first season, but can't wait to get to final one - my favorite
Incredible.
Where did you find this lmao
My dad too, was like our church every Sunday back in the day when it was still coming out
Sunday nights with fam and Fox's animation domination block
Incredible.
Where did you find this lmao
i just googled no country soundtrack lol
i was honestly expecting some ambience or something, didn't realize the movie had no soundtrack at all
I always like movies more after watching them tbh. like I didn't love Thief during watch but looking back on it it was cool and I'm glad I watched
Damn, that's top 5 Mann for me
maybe i should try watching a movie in the morning

it did and was eventually replaced by criterion channel, which somehow seems to have way less films to choose from
@Hamington @TheLostBoy I should tell you that this thread has a couple of lists being collected. @Galaxy is doing favorite albums from the ‘00s (due in a few weeks) and I’m doing favorite films from the ‘10s (deadline TBD)
Excuse me but I have not added anybody to my list. The film list and exclusive FAM list are seperate entities. I do not invite everybody who wanders into this thread to make a list

Criterion has a good selection, they just don't advertise anywhere near the amount of films available. You'd be really surprised at what you'd find on there just by searching directors names — granted, that depends on what kinds of films you're look for. If you saw the list I made a few months ago of directors with films on CC that I wanted to watch, you'd probably never see 80% of them, or most of the directors themselves, mentioned on the service's splash page. (Example: f***ing 43 films by Keisuke Kinoshita on there, still right now. Who would ever know if they didn't search for it?)
Other than CC, I use Mubi (esp good now with their new Library addition), Amazon Prime with Fandor's channel add-on, and recently HBO Max has a surprisingly solid selection of films from various genres and eras.
