kyary used to talk so much s*** about Vahn
Vahnski was the leading vision for Young Thug music videos.. were talkin avant garde stuff.. Vahnski actually lived like 30 mins from me and I sold him Chungking Express blu ray
what you think of Rashomon?
Classic, really good starting point for Kurosawa
It was the first Japanese film I ever saw (my first foreign film, probably) after watching Shogun Assassin for years, and the swordfight choreography was jarringly lame in comparison
took me a while to get used to the fact that 50s samurai s*** was not about the choreography at all.
Mifune is priceless in it, Nicholson probably based half his roles on this performance

I had beef with him for a bit lol
I remember I made this 😂

Good guy though.

Smh why would you start there lol
When I was very new to internet forums and wandered innocently and unknowingly into the dragon's den that was the film thread on ktt1, vahnski was the only one that didn't roast me for not having cool enough banter
i did the main 3 albums, all pretty good but dont love any of it. I think P1 was the best, then childs guide then P2
need revisit though in the coming weeks/months
when Wes Anderson used I Wont Hurt You in Isle Of Dog
he always picks choice psych and kinks gems
you should go through his films just to pick them out tbh
Me too
And months before they announced the reunion special, too
Random episodes or chronological?
Chronological, but I started rewatching back when it was Leap Day because Vulture had a piece where they interviewed Luke del Tredici about the "Leap Dave Williams" episode. Really enjoyed the piece, so I went back to watch and remembered why I loved 30 Rock so much as a teen. Afterall, it was the show that got me interested in the NBC Thursday comedy block - and all it took was a two-hooked Jon Hamm appearing on screen. But started chronologically from season four because of the Hayek ark with Jack

Insane how Parks and Rec -> The Office -> Community -> 30 Rock could’ve been a powerhouse if they left it completely alone

He really liked that movie, huh. I thought 'Girlhood' was alright - only thing I really remember is shopping scene and a couple of shots

'30 Rock' was fighting the good fight attacking NBC - especially in the last season. Bob Greenblatt was a f***ing joke
