have u heard of Stephen Heikotter? This dude's story kinda reminds of him. He was a drummer in a garage rock band in the 60s till the Vietnam war broke them up cuz a bunch of them got drafted but he was left behind because the board saw he was showing signs of mental illness which later turned out to be paranoid schizophrenia. He put all his focus on his art after and came up with an album. Not too long after he was checked into a mental institute where he would stay the rest of his life
