Why'd you stop right before they got good
Can't remember, that was around the first 80s thread and I didn't revisit during the redux. Had a bunch of stuff I was listening to prob

Their sound perfectly congealed on Low Life imo

They never got harder than Sunrise or more epic than Perfect Kiss or more haunting than Elegy
heard the 17 minute version yet? :omgfap:
Please tell me Skynyrd have more ballads like Tuesdays Gone, Simple Man and yes Free Bird on their 2nd album?

not really unfortunately
I still don't get why the Xiu Xiu fans itt gas up A Promise
La Foret and Knife Play so much better imo. Possibly even Women as Lovers...
That's not even counting Twin Peaks and FORGET which are in that same ballpark imo

because it's the one that does the most with silence and lack of instruments and is therefore their most suspenseful with plenty of shocks sprinkled in. Their other albums sound fuller but that is besides the point. It is also their most focused album. I would have left off the Fast Car cover though.
Sad Pony Guerilla & Apistat Commander > Ian Curtis Wishlist
La Foret for example, sounds as if a Post Rock band was asked to play Synthie Pop and it definitely adds a dimension of grandeur to their sound but imo it lacks a bit of depth compared to A Promise's highly dynamic songs. Still an awesome album though
and omg do you want to trigger someone with the Twin Peaks cover album?
Nice gf just got me Twin Peaks box set for my birthday, gonna do it after we finish The Wire (also just revisited Sopranos, fort time in like 7 years)
Seen you been gone by biggest new obsessions been The Banshees, Judas Priest and Sir Douglas Quintet.
Watched The Sopranos back in March. Started The Wire a few days ago. Only on episode 2 rn.

Twin Peaks covers is my fav by them by FAR. they capture and compliment the vibe of the originals perfectly, making em even more dark and bleak
There's loads of good music for having beers in the sun to, but what's the best music for getting drunk while it's raining outside?
