yea arguably my favorite performance of him out of the 18 films I've seen him in. He was so good that it was obvious in some scenes that Pattinson couldn't keep up even though he did a decent job (actually my favorite performance by him as well) it felt a bit uncanny at moments. However, only a minor gripe.

yeah Pattinson could've sold his accent a little better. Seemed a little all over the place, although I know Eggers obsesses over these things and it's probably accurate to some region.

p accurate description of the accent you would have growing up in New England. grew up w a Boston accent but my mom was poor as a kid an later made it so she always yelled at me to speak “proper” so I have weird ass dialect it’s kinda all over the place
