it looks interesting.. the director did a film adaptation of Play It as It Lays which has been on my radar forever now. The book that is.
Joan f***ing Didion...
Finished Slouching Towards Bethlehem a few months ago. Some of the best essays I've ever read.
hmm ill try to make a list tomorrow
f***ing struggling to decide who the goat of 73 was
strongest year up to that point with ronson, williamson, fripp, page, iommi and manzanera all on absolute fire

I have no idea for the 2010s tbh. Mostly people who were already active in the 2000s. Maybe Dylan DiLella from Pyrrhon. I really like his guitar tone. Otherwise ask someone else tbh.

I just started getting into Pyrrhon, really looking forward to their new album.
Page, obv
Fripp probably the most accomplished that year but I'm still leaning toward Ronson for that Aladdin Sane savagery

Yea broski I only heard great things from Joan Didion, hopefully I get around to reading some of her stuff haha took me a minute to actually get back into film so it might be awhile.
As for The Swimmer film I digged it. Tbh I gotta be in the mood for that Wasp Connecticut vibe but this had some weird surrealism going on. Felt like you were left out at the pool for too long.
Lancaster king mooch
I’d take Gary Rossington for 1973
I'm relatively new to Skynyrd by yeah he's in the running too. Had a powerful Simple Man listen this morning.
Townshend also had a strong year
Probably the best year for guitar now that I'm looking closely
