Lot of love for Inherent Vice, a film I f***ing hated.

I've read the book since and loved it so maybe I should rewatch

broski I was pissed they left out my fav part with the Vegas trip Del Toro would have done it perfectly.

yea I watched Happy as Lazarro last year and thought it was amazing. Her eye for shot composition when it comes to multiple characters on the screen and directing them is almost as good as Yang's and her portrayal of ordinary farm life really manages to capture the entire process and therefore creating a really intense atmosphere. On top of it she has a knack for magic realism/surrealism, which enhances the film's premises into very interesting territories.

However, then I watched The Wonders recently and it was just as good. After that I was really stunned by her. One of the best storytellers working rn. While she might appear a little conventional here and there until it gets to the breaking points she really does it extremely well. Actually better than anyone who is attempting straightforward narratives rn imo

My 2 friends played the f*** outta that game like 3 years ago. How many chambers are there in total? I think my friends made it to the second last one a few times.

And that's def a lie, I've seen enough gameplay to know there's a bit of a spike after each floor

Dude you're telling me! It def spikes after each floor. I cant even consistently beat the 2nd floor boss

I am completely fine against the regular enemies/rooms. I wipe the floor with everything and barely even get hit. Then the 2nd boss f***s me up like 75% of the time
