What other audiard you seen? Been trying to force everyone to watch this: https://boxd.it/B2yEh
how'd you rank Audiard so far? How many have you seen?

Thought that when I was 18 and still do

im kind of biased against french films usually (possibly cause they forced it on us here in canada) but audiard would rank pretty high for me amongst current directors. Rust & Bone was pretty good.
played these both in plug

man i really don’t understand how hard it is for some people (especially younger ones) to make it through a movie. it’s like in today’s culture, binge watching shows has made feature length films obsolete for a lot of people, more than i previously realized.
@Versetti @Very_Based I will be starting my counting tomorrow night if you guys still are planning on getting a list in at deadline
I pretty much given up on @SufiCaughtWreck though

literal argument from my big sister last week "movies are too big of a commitment" cause theyre maybe 2 hours... meanwhile she binges countless shows with countless seasons you are obligated to watch
Yeah I have a friend that's like that. Has spent hundreds of hours watching sitcoms and trash like Jerry Springer but a movie is too much to get through.

Every time I start talking to a woman it’s “So, what’s the last show you binged?” Then why I say I’m more of a movie person they react like I have three heads. s*** really is weird

tv shows are in increments and are seen as "lesser" than movies

Movies are structured differently but its the short attention span of this generation.. Everything is dumb down as possible.
Its the dismal tide, not the one thing.

because with all the other content out there in forms of youtube, tiktok, shows to stream, the idea of shorter content is just more appealing to the younger generation

think thats a bit arrogant to write off new content like that
Especially because with shorter content also comes a push to be actively making content all the time and establishing a core to your brand that garners a connection with fans. There is just as much that goes into creating a vision and establishing a work ethic with that form of content as there is with making feature films tbh.
Not to mention, while that stuff is shorter, people still go crazy over hour long tv episodes which is definitely not something you would watch if you had a short attention span.
